Growing up one group that influenced my life greatly was the Clash. I loved them. Not sure why, I found a box set of theirs in the 7th grade at the local library and loved the cover. Then i listened to the music and was sold!!!

So many years later, one of my new Favs, M.I.A., samples “Straight To Hell” by The Clash on her latest single “Paper Planes.” Some may be scared of her, my old Universal colleagues thought she sucked, but with this choice for a sample she will be on my list of favs forever!!!
